Over an inch thick (I'm an old money girl), this book is positively crammed full of just about everything you could want to know, of all things organic.
If you are a "Where is this, who's making that and what else can help me in my immediate vicinity, as I lean towards a more ethical and organic way of living" kind of person, this is 'the' book for you.
It's not just a countrywide guide, the first half dozen pages explain 'Organic' and the mystery that still surrounds it.
There are 'hundreds' of entries throughout the 4 categories - the Local Directory - the National and Mail Order Suppliers - the Business to Business Directory - and the related Associations.
Don't let the promise of this 'bombardment' of information bambooze you. It's dead easy to nagivate and each entry is easy on the eye, comfortable to read, concise and to the point.
Also, the images used in the 'Key' to describe each company, are simple to understand and remember.
You can see Clive is clearly driven with a passion to uncover these amazing gems that are hidden throughout the UK. This directory lists 'caring and ethical' companies who are also excited about producing amazing organic goods.
It will help you 'cut to the chase' in your area and I'm sure you will be inspired to visit other local producers you may not have otherwise known existed!
I am delighted to say, the price has been held the same as the 2006 edition at ?8.95 and is printed using vegetable based inks on recycled paper - no surprises there!
It's an invaluable resource in my house and I am sure you will agree.
Top marks for this one Green Books!
